I said No More Pain

I hung up the phone on Pain today. Painful people say ugly things to hurt other people. Guess what. Click. I don't talk to pain on the phone or listen to it from people in my face. Click. That goes for you too, kid. Talk to the person who hurt you. Not me.

    Mother Committed

    When my baby was born
    I was full of laughter not scorn
    A beautiful sight to see
    I used to bounce her on my knee
    When she started to grow
    she was full of things nobody knows

    In her teens
    it was hard for her to fit into those jeans
    the child is changing before my years
    Who thought she'd make me tear
    I will commit you to the state
    the mother who you could not relate
    what happened to the love
    you were pretty as a dove

    Medication is not the answer
    In my younger day
    I was a good dancer

    Hospital stay is not for me
    Please be the loving daughter
    you used to be
